Skincare Glory is definitely something that every person is capable of achieving. Whilst I’m not suggesting the same level of effort is required for everyone, I believe that anything can happen.
In last week’s blog post I shared 4 tips on how to achieve skincare glory and as I’m a self-confessed skin junkie, I promised to give 4 more tips on this week’s blog post because I’m helpful like that! LOL
If you didn’t see the first 4 tips then you catch up on them right here
Leading on from the last 4 skincare tips, here are 4 more that I hope will help:
Review, Review Once More and Review Again
Skincare is not a set in stone concept and your skin is very very clever. Have you ever heard that some products can normalise on your skin or that your skin gets used to a product and doesn’t seem to be as effective anymore.
As skin is always regenerating, this is often true. The reality is you should always be reviewing your skincare because skin does get used to products and you should be tailoring your skincare based on different factors such as your, age, your environment, your body changes and so on so forth. Your skincare should work to suit you and you need to ensure that your skincare is intelligent and efficient.
Try Before You Buy
There are money grabbing professionals out there who would cringe at this point. I’m not one of them. Samples are an amazing thing. You get to work out the economics of a product, feel the textures, get small results and then take it from there. I don’t believe in selling products for selling sake and I would honestly reconsider buying from anyone or anywhere that does.
Skincare Ingredients Are Your Best Friend
Ingredients in skincare are one of the most important factors when buying your skincare. Personally I’m a fan of hugely active ingredients which is why I use cosmeceuticals rather than cosmetic brands where possible. However ingredients and how active they are a important but knowing the uses of the ingredients of your skincare will help you to make more informed choices. Beauty brands are great at making everything sound complicated so make a point of asking questions if you don’t understand. This is not the bit where you become a pain in the ass to whoever happens to cross your path on skincare shopping day! LOL This is the bit where you ask what ingredients are inside the product, what is it good for and does this work for me.
Don’t be afraid to say no
Sometimes when you spend money on a product that wasn’t the cheapest. Then you feel inclined to make it agree with you even if it doesn’t. Please don’t do that. If it doesn’t work then get rid of it. Money can always be spent again, skin can’t. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. There is no mileage in doing irreparable damage to your skin for the sake of a few pounds. Even if it was hundreds….it’s just not worth it.
I hope these 4 tips have given you some guidance with where to start when looking for skincare. I realise that shopping for skincare can be a bit overwhelming even at the best of times but I think its better to start slow and make good choices.
